History has shown us at Sleppyco, that in some cases, clients often like mattresses when they are at the store but after you use it for a few weeks or months, you wish you got one that was a bit firmer or a bit softer. The Hybrid Mattress could help meet that extra comfort level.
How? One side feels semi-firm but still gives a snuggle feel, while the other side will have a comfier feel but you won't sink in. These mattresses will include:
A. Cotton fabric as the outer casing
B. Wool as the natural Fire Retardant
C. Followed by a few layers of green cotton batting
D. Next are TWO cores: a 2-inch Eco-friendly Foam Core and a 2-inch Natural Latex Core
E. Followed by C, B and A
Yes, the mattress will include 8 layers of fibers and cores, creating a loft of 16-18 inches thick. These fibers will then be hand-compressed into a case and tuftings will be included to hold everything in place to create a 6-inch thick mattress. Thicknesses in 7 and 8 inches will also be available but this mattress will be much lighter than most other Sleppyco matrasses. Making it simpler to move around, flip and ship in a box, like we have been doing since 1981.
We recommend putting it on a box spring set or platform bed, or even using it as a floor bed. A slatted bed frame is recommended for air circulation and the slats should be at least no more than 2" - 2.5" apart from each other. When the slats are more than 2.5" apart, that may affect the longevity and comfort of your mattress.
